We sell a tool, not a tip.
Scope Labs is an independent software company. We build market-data tooling. Scope Scanner — a crypto volume scanner: an iPhone app that ranks the market by relative volume, each coin measured against its own average — is the first of it we are putting in front of anyone. It is not the only thing we have built, and we are paid by the people who use what we ship rather than by anybody else.
What we build
Scope Scanner measures one thing and measures it carefully: how much a coin is trading right now against how much that coin normally trades. Not against bitcoin, not against the market, and not against anyone’s idea of what normal should look like. A quiet coin doing four times its own usual volume is the finding; whether that matters is your judgement to make.
We do not tell you what that means. Volume rises before prices go up, before they go down, and before they do nothing at all — and a tool that pretended otherwise would be selling predictions it cannot make. The Disclaimers say this in the language a lawyer would use; this is the same statement in ours.
How we are paid
By our customers, and by nobody else. There are no investors to satisfy, no advertising, and no data to sell — the app has no accounts, so there is no name, no email and no identity attached to anything it does. That is not a promise about our intentions. It is a description of what we hold, which is why the Privacy Policy can be as short as it is.
It also settles whose side the product is on. A free tool paid for by advertising has to hold your attention; one paid for by data brokers has to collect something worth selling. Ours has to be worth $1.99 a month to somebody who could cancel today, which is a harder test and the right one.
What we will not do
- Sell signals, calls, or a group to join. Not at any price. The scanner shows you the market; what you do about it is not something we are qualified to sell.
- Give advice. We are not licensed to, nothing in the app is tailored to you, and it can neither place a trade nor connect to an account that could.
- Sell, rent, or trade what you do. We do not collect it. Watchlists and settings stay on your device.
- Manufacture urgency. The founding pass really is capped at 10,000 and really does close permanently — a fact we publish before you buy rather than a countdown that resets overnight.
- Hide what the app gets wrong. The interface flashes throughout and is unsafe for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy. Market data comes from third parties and is sometimes late or wrong. Both are on this site, in the app, and in the Accessibility statement, because a warning nobody finds is not a warning.
Who it is for
People who already trade and want one number they can check quickly. Scope Scanner assumes you know what volume is and what it does not tell you. If you are looking for something that decides for you, we would rather you knew now than after paying: that product is not this one, and we are not going to build it.
